We obtain consent where required. Sensitive financial information and credit reports are handled subject to appropriate authorization and applicable requirements.
We do not use mortgage-application, financial, or credit information for unrelated marketing or behavioural advertising without separate meaningful consent.
Submitting an inquiry or requesting a guide does not automatically mean you agree to receive ongoing marketing communications.
4. Sharing Your Information
Where necessary and permitted, personal information may be shared with:
- Choice Financial Corp. and authorized brokerage personnel.
- Mortgage lenders, mortgage insurers, and other financing-related parties involved in a proposed mortgage transaction.
- Credit reporting agencies where appropriate authorization has been obtained.
- Technology service providers supporting CRM systems, mortgage applications, communications, scheduling, and document processing.
- Regulators, government authorities, or other parties where required or permitted by law.
We limit disclosures to appropriate purposes and seek to protect personal information through applicable privacy, security, and service-provider arrangements.
5. CRM, Applications, and Data Processing
We use third-party technology platforms to manage inquiries, appointments, communications, mortgage applications, and client relationships.
These may include customer relationship management systems such as GoHighLevel and mortgage application systems such as Newton Velocity, as applicable to the services being provided.
Information may be accessed by authorized personnel and service providers as necessary to deliver those services.
Some service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information processed in another country may be subject to that country's laws and lawful government access requests.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Website Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies, depending on the website features and services enabled.
These may include:
- Essential cookies: Support website functionality, security, forms, and interactive features.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand website traffic and performance.
- Marketing cookies: May support advertising effectiveness and relevant marketing, where enabled.
You may manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, website privacy controls. Where consent is required for non-essential tracking, we will seek the appropriate consent.
Disabling certain cookies may affect some website functionality.
7. Chat and Automated Assistance
Our website may offer chat, voice or AI-assisted communication features to answer general questions, collect inquiries, or help schedule appointments.
Information you provide through these features may be processed by authorized technology providers and recorded in our client communication systems.
If a voice or telephone feature involves recording, appropriate notice and consent procedures will apply.
Website voice conversations with our AI assistant are transcribed (not audio-recorded), and the transcript and an AI-generated summary are stored by our service providers and sent to CJ so he can follow up with you.
Please avoid providing highly sensitive financial documents or banking credentials through ordinary website chat. Use approved secure application or document-submission channels when requested.
8. Email, SMS, and CASL Compliance
We may contact you by email, telephone, or text message to respond to your inquiries and provide information about services you requested.
Separate promotional communications will only be sent where we have an applicable lawful basis, including valid express or implied consent or an applicable exemption under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Commercial electronic messages subject to CASL requirements will include appropriate sender identification and an unsubscribe mechanism.
You may withdraw marketing consent at any time. Unsubscribe requests will be processed within 10 business days, as required by CASL.
Withdrawing marketing consent does not necessarily prevent communications reasonably required to service an existing application or respond to your specific requests.
9. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of personal information.
Access is restricted to authorized persons who require the information for legitimate business or regulatory purposes.
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for identified purposes or as required by applicable law and regulatory obligations.
Mortgage brokerage records may be retained for six years or longer, depending on the applicable transaction and regulatory requirements.
When personal information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted, destroyed, or anonymized in accordance with applicable requirements.
If a breach of security safeguards involving personal information occurs, we will assess the breach and keep the records required by law. Where a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and notify affected individuals as required by PIPEDA.

Subject to applicable laws and exceptions, you may:
- Request access to personal information held about you.
